What is Carparts-UK.com?

Carparts-UK.com is a vast database of online car parts which allows you to compare what is on offer and obtain contact information for potential suppliers who can ship parts to you quickly - usually the next day.

How do I find the part I need?

  1. Select the make of model of your vehicle. E.g Ford Escort.
  2. Choose the year of your vehicle
  3. Select the Part Category of the Part you require (this is the general category the part would fit into - E.g Bonnet would be Front End Parts Category.
  4. Select the Part you require from the list.

If an exact part cannot be found select the ANY option which will show you everything to match the model and part selected.

Deciding a Part Category

If you require help establishing what part group your part is in, click on the ‘i’ symbol next to the part group pull down list which will open a new window. Either click on ‘view parts’ to see all the associated parts or type in the part you need in the box at the top of the screen.

I can’t find the part I require ?

It could be that there is another name for the same part as a lot of parts are described differently by different people so try thinking of alternative names. If you are still unable to find the part, it is possible that it is a part which is not generally stocked as it is not suitable for second hand sale.

I can’t find my vehicle in the pop up lists ?

It could be that the vehicle may be described slightly differently on our system. For example a BMW ‘320’ is listed as a BMW ‘3 Series’ on the website. Similarly if the vehicle is an import, try searching under the U.K equivalent.

I have selected the PART CATEGORY and the PART I need, but I can’t find the exact description in the PART OPTIONS pull-down ?

In some cases there may not be an exact match listed for your specific requirements. In this case select the ANY option which will then show everything that matches the model and part.

When I search for a part, the parts I find are sometimes listed as ‘NON EXACT’ matches - what does this mean?

Put simply, there is not an exact match between what you requested and what the supplier has logged on their system .This does not necessarily mean the parts available would not be suitable however. In this case it would be advisable to call the supplier direct and explain your exact requirements.

The part I have found is an "EXACT MATCH" -is this guaranteed to fit my requirements?

While our suppliers are very detailed in their descriptions, we always recommend you properly discuss your requirements with the supplier before finally ordering your part.

My part isn’t found when I do a search - does this mean the part i need is not available ?

Not necessarily. There is always the possibility that one of the suppliers has just received a delivery of parts and has not inputted the parts into the system. Therefore it is always worth utilising the ‘PART REQUEST’ facility, which sends an e-mail to a range of different suppliers, to ask if they have your specific part in stock.

Will the suppliers listed on the Carparts-UK.com website deliver parts to me?

Yes, all the suppliers will arrange delivery of your parts.

Is the price shown what i will pay including delivery ?

No, the price shown is the price you would pay were you to pick the part up from the supplier directly. Some prices are also subject to VAT at 17.5%.

How much extra will delivery cost?

This will depend on the size and weight of the part. Prices usually start from approximately £10 but you should check this with the individual supplier.

Please also note that some delivery companies and couriers will not insure glass items (e.g. windscreens, door windows etc...).

Do the parts shown on Carparts-UK.com come with a warranty?

Each supplier on Carparts-UK.com has their own warranty policy, but all give warranties of some level. Additionally, some also offer extended warranties for a small additional charge, to give you extra peace of mind.

Will I be charged for using this service?

No searching for parts and sending part requests through Carparts-UK.com is completely free of charge.

Why does delivery time/cost depend on the individual part ?

Although most suppliers offer next day delivery this can not no be guaranteed. Although this happens very rarely time taken to locate, separate and prepare the part for transit can affect when the part can be delivered. As for the cost of delivery this can be different for each part type given weight and size can vary.
