Non-Exact Part Results

When I search for a part, the parts I find are sometimes listed as "NON EXACT" matches - what does this mean?
A: This simply means that there is not an exact correlation between what you requested and what the supplier has logged on their system. This does not necessarily mean that the parts shown will not be suitable however, as sometimes there are several parts that will fit the same application. In this case, the best course of action is to call the supplier and explain your exact requirements. It is also possible that the supplier has just received the parts into stock, and has not yet specified the detail to enable an exact match.

The part I have found is an "EXACT MATCH" -is this guaranteed to fit my requirements?
A: While our suppliers are very detailed in their data input, we always recommend you properly discuss your requirements with the supplier before finally ordering your part. There are so many subtle differences between individual parts these days that it is always safer to double check your exact requirements to ensure an incorrect part is not delivered.
